Valley View is a must stop viewpoint in Yosemite National Park. Most people visit Valley View on their way out of the park as it is the last stop, located along the one-way Northside Drive. Look for a small parking area to your left just before Pohono Bridge.

The most famous viewpoint is at Olmsted Point, from where you can peer down into Yosemite Valley and get a unique perspective on iconic Half Dome. You can see the view right from the road's overlook, or for a more glorious view as shown above, hike the shortest trail in Yosemite (0.2 miles).

To find Valley View, drive west on Northside Drive (the only way to exit Yosemite Valley); about 3/4 of a mile beyond the Bridalveil Fall view (not to be confused with the Bridalveil Creek viewpoint described earlier), look on your left for a paved parking area with a dozen or so diagonal parking spaces; pull into an open space and the view is.

The Cloud's Rest Trail is a 14-mile roundtrip hike ascending 1,800 feet. At the top of the 9,926 foot summit, there are stunning views in every direction. You'll be able to see Yosemite landmarks such as Tenaya Lake, Sentinel Dome, North Dome, Mt. Hoffman, and if you look down 1,000 feet below you'll see Half Dome's summit.
